NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit involving titanium mesh that had been implanted in a woman’s chest wall and later removed, finding the plaintiff failed to present evidence that the mesh was defective or unreasonably dangerous.
On April 3, Judge Jeffrey Frensley of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee further found the evidence did not support the negligence and breach of warranty claims asserted against DePuy Synthes Sales Inc.
