Insurers to Receive Lists of Wright Medical Hip MDL Claimants for Lien Resolution

ATLANTA — To facilitate the distribution of Wright Medical Conserve hip settlement proceeds, a Georgia federal judge has ordered that state Medicaid programs and private health plans be provided with a list of claimants to determine whether they have liens against them.

In a March 22 order, Judge William S. Duffey Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia directed the health insurance providers to disclose the individuals’ claim information to the lien resolution administrator.
