Trial in 2nd Bellwether Bard IVC Filter Case Set to Begin May 15

PHOENIX — The second bellwether Bard IVC filter case is scheduled for trial on May 15, in which the jury will hear claims that C.R. Bard Inc. failed to adequately warn physicians about the known defects and higher complication rates associated with its Eclipse IVC filter.

In a March 30 order, Judge David G. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona said the trial will last three weeks. The judge opined that, on the basis of time used in the 1st bellwether trial, “the parties could have been more efficient.”
