Supreme Court Refuses to Review 9th Cir.’s Reinstatement of Remicade Cancer Suit

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to review a federal appeals court’s reinstatement of a case against Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. in which plaintiffs allege their son’s cancer was caused by combining Purinethol with Remicade and Humira.

The high court denied Teva’s petition for certiorari on March 19. The pharmaceutical maker sought to challenge the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeal’s ruling that the trial court erred in excluding the testimony of the plaintiffs’ experts.
