Missouri Appellate Court Grants Motion Limiting Appellate Briefing in Talc Case to Personal Jurisdiction Issues




ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri appellate court has granted a motion to limit the briefing in the appeal of a $55 million talcum powder verdict to personal jurisdiction issues only, according to the court’s online docket.

The Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeal granted the motion on March 15; one week prior, it also noted that the Missouri Supreme Court had denied the application for transfer in the Fox proceeding, which the intermediate appellate court had earlier acknowledged would affect the underlying proceedings.
