Calif. Appellate Court Splits Appeals Relating to Imerys Talc Dismissal Order and Order Tossing $417 Million Talc Verdict




LOS ANGELES –– A California appellate court has severed an appeal relating to an order awarding summary judgment to Imerys Talc prior to a talcum powder trial from the appeal of an order tossing a $417 million verdict that was subsequently reached by jurors.

In a Feb. 27 order, the California Second District Court of Appeal also denied the plaintiffs’ motion for calendar preference.
