Conserve Hip MDL Judge Withdraws Order to Show Cause as to 5 Cases Due to Dismissals

ATLANTA - The judge overseeing the federal Wright Conserve Hip multidistrict litigation docket has withdrawn an order to show cause as to five cases, explaining those plaintiffs have stipulated to dismissals and entered into tolling agreements with Wright Medical Technology Inc.

Judge William S. Duffey Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia withdrew the order on Feb. 15.

In November 2016, a $240 million settlement was reached in the Conserve Hip MDL, which encompassed approximately 1,3000 claims of Wright Medical metal-on-metal hip implant plaintiffs whose hips were revised at least 150 days and no more …
