Federal MDL Docket Created for Federal Sorin 2T Heater-Cooler Device Cases

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has created a federal docket in Pennsylvania for cases in which Sorin Group USA and LivaNova PLC are accused of failing to warn that their warming device poses a risk of infection during surgery.

On Feb. 1, the panel transferred 39 actions pending in 21 districts to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings and assigned the docket to Judge John E. Jones III.
