JERSEY CITY, N.J. - A New Jersey appellate court has upheld the dismissal of four Accutane cases, ruling that the claims are barred under the state's two-year statute of limitations because the plaintiffs were on notice of the potential cause of their injuries, yet filed suit after the limitations period expired.

On Jan. 24, the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division agreed with the trial court that, with due diligence, the plaintiffs could, and should, have realized that the acne drug was a potential cause of their irritable bowel syndrome symptoms.
