Florida Family Files Talc Lawsuit in State Court, Says 43-Year-Old Developed Ovarian Cancer as a Result of Using Baby Powder

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –– A Florida family has filed a talcum powder lawsuit in state court, contending that, after 20 years of using talcum powder products, one of the plaintiffs has developed ovarian cancer.

In their complaint, filed in the Florida 17th Judicial Circuit Court for Broward County, the Phipps family contended that Patricia Phipps purchased and applied Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower to her body, including her perineal area, on a daily basis from 1997 to 2017.
