SOUTH BEND, Ind. — An Indiana federal judge has denied plaintiffs’ motion to exclude the testimony of Biomet’s experts in the M2a Magnum Hip multidistrict litigation, ruling the experts may opine as to decisions concerning design and safety, regulatory compliance, and engineering issues.

In a Dec. 21 opinion, Judge Robert L. Miller Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana addressed the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee II’s motions to exclude the opinions and testimony of Biomet’s experts Dr. Steven R. Schmid, David Schroeder, Dr. Daniel Schultz, Dr. Andrew I. Spitzer and Dr. Kenneth St. John.
