Case-Specific Discovery Activated in ‘Group 5’ M2a Magnum Hip MDL

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Indiana federal judge overseeing the Biomet M2a Magnum Hip MDL docket has activated the pool of “Group 5” cases for case-specific discovery, ordering that medical records authorizations be provided to Zimmer Biomet Inc. by Feb. 2.

On Dec. 18, Judge Robert L. Miller Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana held that the parties may engage in case-specific discovery relating to the Group 5 cases until Sept. 14.
