Calif. Jury Awards $2.8 Million in Kidney Cancer Case; Jurors Allocate Majority of Liability to Plaintiff

SAN FRANCISCO –– A California jury has awarded $2.8 million at the conclusion of an asbestos trial in what is believed to be the first living kidney cancer case to be tried to verdict in state court, but has allocated the majority of the liability to the plaintiff, sources told HarrisMartin.

The California Superior Court for California for San Francisco County jury reached the verdict on Dec. 5. Judge Angela Bradstreet presided over the trial.
