Vantage Commodities Says It Asserted Viable Claim Against Insurer in $25.5 Million Reinsurance Dispute

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Vantage Commodities Financial Services Inc. is urging a Washington D.C. federal court to refuse to dismiss a claim in which Vantage seeks payment of a $26 million judgment following a reinsurance arbitration ruling in its favor.

In a Nov. 3 opposition filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Washington D.C., Vantage says it asserted a viable claim against Assured Risk Transfer LLC because Assured has aligned itself with the reinsurers by asserting that they owe obligations, if any, to Assured.
