Colgate-Palmolive Asks Court to Reconsider Earlier Summary Judgment Motion in Light of Order Tossing Expert Testimony

PHILADELPHIA –– Colgate-Palmolive has asked a Philadelphia court to reconsider an earlier order denying the defendant summary judgment, saying that the court’s recent decision to exclude expert testimony proffered on behalf of the plaintiffs in the asbestos-containing talc case warrants reconsideration of the summary judgment motion.

In the Oct. 23 motion filed in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County, the defendant maintained that without the testimony from the two excluded experts, the plaintiffs cannot create a genuine issue of material fact warranting a trial of their claims.
