SAN DIEGO — A California federal judge has ordered discovery in a case in which the owners of Cal-Regent Insurance Services Corp. are accused of draining the company’s assets in order to avoid paying a $3.2 million judgment to Odyssey Reinsurance Corp.

In a Sept. 22 order, Magistrate Judge William V. Gallo of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California also informed the parties that an early neutral evaluation (ENE) of the case will be held on Oct. 30.
