Mo. Court Will Allow Single Plaintiff Talcum Powder Trial to Move Forward in Oct.; No Ruling on Jurisdictional Challenges




ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri state court will allow an October talcum powder trial to move forward over defense objections, indicating during a recent hearing that the trial will involve the claims of a single Missouri resident, sources confirmed to HarrisMartin Publishing.

The Missouri Circuit Court for St. Louis City indicated its intent to move forward with the October trial setting at a hearing held on Sept. 18, at which time it addressed the defendants’ motion to dismiss 47 plaintiffs’ claims from a fourth amended complaint, a motion to stay the Oct. 2017 trial setting, and Imerys Talc America’s motion …
