WASHINGTON, D.C. –– Defendants named in a Washington, D.C. talcum powder case have reasserted their challenges to jurisdiction, saying that the court should revisit the issue in light of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. v. Superior Court of California ruling rejecting jurisdiction in multi-plaintiff cases.

On Sept. 12 and 14, both Imerys Talc America and the Johnson & Johnson defendants asked the District of Columbia Superior Court for permission to file reply briefs in support of their motion for relief from the court’s order denying their motions to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction, maintaining that the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling “squarely …
