ST. LOUIS — A Missouri federal judge has dismissed the claims of 53 out-of-state plaintiffs in a Risperdal injury case for lack of personal jurisdiction, finding they failed to allege facts supporting a reasonable inference that Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc. can be subjected to jurisdiction within the state.

In an Aug. 10 order, Judge Stephen M. Limbaugh Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri relied heavily on the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision in Bristol- Myers Squibb v. Super. Ct. of Cal., (137 S. Ct. 1773 [2017]). In that case, the high court held that a …
