More than 150 Talc Cases Now Pending in Delaware State Court; Defendants Challenge Jurisdiction




WILMINGTON, Del. –– Johnson & Johnson defendants have filed motions contesting jurisdiction in one of the more than 150 talcum powder cases now pending in Delaware state court, according to the court’s online docket.

A motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction was filed on Aug. 1 in the Delaware Superior Court in one of the more recently filed complaints.

The challenges to jurisdiction were filed in the wake of another motion in which the defendants challenged discovery requests as irrelevant, overbroad, harassing, and unduly burdensome.
