Pa. Federal Judge Clarifies Order Requiring St. Paul to Produce ‘Other Reinsurance’ Information

PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania federal judge has clarified his order requiring St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co. to produce "other reinsurance" information in a dispute over whether it promptly notified R&Q Reinsurance Co. of underlying asbestos claims.

In an Aug. 16 ruling, Judge Berle Schiller of the US. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ordered St. Paul to disclose all documents previously redacted as “proprietary,” “reinsurance,” or “reserves,” or any variation thereof, to R&Q.
