Maryland Judge Grants John Crane’s Motion for Directed Verdict at Close of Plaintiffs’ Evidence in Take-Home Exposure Trial




BALTIMORE –– A Maryland state court judge has granted John Crane’s motion for a directed verdict at the close of the plaintiffs’ evidence in an asbestos take-home exposure trial, sources told HarrisMartin.

On Aug. 8, Judge Pamela L. North of the Maryland Circuit Court for Baltimore City agreed with the defendant that the plaintiffs had failed to present enough evidence to prove that it owed a duty to the decedent.

John Crane was the lone remaining defendant at the time of the judge’s ruling, sources said.
