MADISON, Wis. –– A Wisconsin federal court has weighed in on a number of in limine motions filed in an asbestos case scheduled to begin trial next week, weighing in on whether the defendant can reference companies going through bankruptcy proceedings, and whether the defendant can discuss the effect smoking may have on the development of mesothelioma.

The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin issued its 27-page order on July 7.
