BALTIMORE — A Maryland federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed against Boston Scientific Corp. in connection with an allegedly defective inferior vena cava filter, finding the plaintiff’s own medical records show that the device did not cause her injuries.

In a June 20 order, Judge Roger W. Titus of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland further held that the plaintiff’s claims are time-barred because she failed to explain why she did not file suit back in 2005 when BSC recalled the IVC filter.
