N.J. High Court Consolidates Stryker LFIT Cobalt Chromium V40 Femoral Head Actions

TRENTON, N.J. — The New Jersey Supreme Court has granted plaintiffs’ request to consolidate all pending and future state court actions involving Howmedica Osteonics Corp.’s Stryker LFIT Cobalt Chromium (CoCr) V40 Femoral Heads for centralized case management.

According to the May 30 notice, Judge Rachelle Harz of the Bergen County Superior Court will oversee the docket.

“The actions are centralized to avoid duplication and to prevent conflicts,” the order explained. “These actions are not consolidated. Each action will retain its own docket number. A master docket number for administrative purposes shall be assigned to this action by the Civil Division …
