Wash. Court Dismisses Claims for Lack of General, Specific Jurisdiction; Allows Plaintiffs Leave to Amend

SEATTLE –– A Washington federal court has granted a motion to dismiss in an asbestos suit, finding that it lacked general and specific jurisdiction over the defendant since the plaintiffs had failed to allege that the exposure would not have occurred but for Dana Cos. contacts with Washington.

In the May 23 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington did allow the plaintiffs the opportunity to amend their complaint to remedy the deficiencies outlined in the order.
