Ark. Court Defers Ruling on Challenges to Jurisdiction in Profemur Hip System Action

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. –– An Arkansas federal court has deferred ruling on whether it has personal jurisdiction over Wright Medical Group in a Profemur hip system action, noting that the plaintiff has raised questions about the defendant’s role in the manufacture of the allegedly defective device.

In an April 25 ruling, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas ordered the parties to complete jurisdictional discovery within 60 days and submit briefs on the issue within 30 days of the completion of that discovery.
