Benzene Case Against Ford Motor Reset for July Trial after Mistrial Declared in First Proceeding

BEAUFORT, S.C. –– A benzene case against Ford Motor Co. has been reset for trial in July, five months after a mistrial was declared as a result of a Sheriff’s Office deputy’s discussions about the case with jurors in a parking lot outside the courthouse, sources told HarrisMartin.

The case has been slotted in a July 31 trial setting by the South Carolina Court of Common Pleas in Beaufort County. Judge Carmen Mullen is overseeing the benzene case.
