Maryland Jury Awards More than $14.5 Million at Conclusion of Asbestos Trial Against GP, Wallace & Gale




BALTIMORE – A Maryland jury has awarded more than $14.5 million at the conclusion of an asbestos case against Georgia-Pacific and Wallace & Gale that involved both occupational and para-occupational exposure, sources told HarrisMartin.

The Maryland Circuit Court for Baltimore City reached the verdict on Feb. 16. Hon. Shannon E. Avery presided over the trial.

Before reaching the verdict, jurors had heard the claims of William and Kathleen Busch, who alleged that William Busch developed mesothelioma as a result of both occupational and para-occupational asbestos exposure, and as the result of the use of asbestos-containing products while completing home renovations. …
