PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania federal judge has agreed to issue a protective order that prohibits public disclosure of confidential, proprietary and/or private information that may be produced during discovery in a multi-million dollar reinsurance dispute between R&Q Reinsurance Co. and St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co.

In the Feb. 2 order, Judge Berle M. Schiller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted St. Paul’s unopposed request to protect from disclosure “limited information or items that are entitled to confidential treatment under the applicable legal principles.”
