Delaware Supreme Court Affirms Summary Judgment Orders Entered in Favor of Asbestos Defendants

WILMINGTON, Del. –– The Delaware Supreme Court has affirmed awards of summary judgment entered in favor of five asbestos defendants, opining that the plaintiffs had failed to present evidence from which a jury could reasonably infer that the decedent’s father was in proximity to the products distributed by the defendants.

The state high court issued the three-page order affirming the judgments on Feb. 6; in it, the Supreme Court said the Superior Court was correct to grant summary judgment.
