11th Circuit Receives Appeal of Termination of Camp Lejeune Water Contamination MDL




ATLANTA –– A number of plaintiffs whose water contamination claims were terminated with the Camp Lejeune multidistrict litigation docket have filed notices of appeal with the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, contesting the federal court’s decision.

The appeals were docketed with the appellate court on Jan. 17, according to the court’s online docket.

In a 96-page opinion issued Dec. 5, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia terminated the federal docket, which was created to address a growing number of lawsuits from former Camp Lejeune residents who said that they had been injured by contaminated …
