Calif. Appellate Court Reverses Summary Judgment Entered in Honeywell’s Favor in Asbestos Case

LOS ANGELES – A California appellate court has reversed an award of summary judgment entered in favor of asbestos defendant Honeywell, concluding that some evidence “directly connected” the decedent’s work with specific car models that contained the defendant’s asbestos-containing parts.

In the Dec. 8 opinion, the California Court of Appeal, Second District, found that the evidence supported an inference that the decedent was exposed to Bendix brakes while employed as a mechanic.
