Iowa Jury Reaches Defense Verdict for Hennessy Industries Inc., in Case Involving Brake Arcing Machine

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa –– An Iowa jury has returned a defense verdict in favor of asbestos defendant Hennessy Industries Inc., rejecting claims that the decedent was exposed to asbestos in automotive brakes when using the defendant’s AMMCO brake arcing machines, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing.

The Iowa District Court for Linn County reached the verdict on Nov. 15, sources said. Judge Robert E. Sosalla presided over the three-week trial.

Hennessy was the lone remaining defendant at the time of the verdict, according to the verdict sheet.
