Tenn. Federal Judge Dismisses Mesh Hernia Repair Action, Says Claims Inadequately Pled

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A Tennessee federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed against C.R. Bard Inc. and Ethicon Inc. in connection with their polypropylene mesh hernia repair products, ruling that the plaintiff failed to adequately allege how the products were defective and how the defects caused his injuries.
In a Nov. 14 order, Senior Judge Thomas W. Phillips further ruled that the plaintiff failed to specify how defendants’ warnings were defective and how they caused his injuries.
