Companion Ins. Ordered to Produce Detailed Privilege Log in Trust Account Dispute

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A South Carolina federal judge has ordered Companion Property and Casualty Insurance Co. to produce a more detailed privilege log of redacted and withheld documents in an action accusing a bank of mishandling assets that were intended to secure reinsurance obligations.

On Nov. 3, Judge J. Michelle Childs of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina ordered Companion to submit for in camera review all communications involving the law firm of McGladrey LLP from January and February 2014.
