N.Y. Federal Judge Dismisses Superstorm Sandy Action for Failure to Prosecute

NEW YORK — A New York federal judge has dismissed for failure to prosecute a Superstorm Sandy coverage action, agreeing with a magistrate judge that because the case has basically lain dormant for two years, dismissal is warranted.

On Oct. 14, Senior Judge Frederic Block of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York adopted the magistrate judge’s report and recommendation, noting that no objections have been filed.
