Defendants File Brief Regarding Choice of Law in Louisiana Asbestos Case, Say Idaho Law Applies




NEW ORLEANS – Several defendants have filed a brief regarding a choice of law analysis in an asbestos case, arguing that Idaho law applies to claims arising out of the plaintiff’s alleged exposure at the Naval Reactors Facility, a government-owned nuclear propulsion laboratory and training facility in Idaho.

In the Oct. 19 brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the defendants called the connection between the underlying claims and Idaho “extensive.”
