CHICAGO — In its answer to R&Q Reinsurance Co.’s amended complaint in which it asserts that it is not liable to pay a $1.5 million billing due to late notice, The American Insurance Co. says the pleading should be transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, which has a stronger connection to the dispute.
