Missouri State Court Judge Denies J&J’s Efforts to Stay Several Talcum Powder Cases




ST. LOUIS –– A Missouri state court judge has denied defense efforts to stay a number of pending talcum powder cases and has transferred them to another division for all pre-trial matters, according to recent docket entries.

On Aug. 31, Judge Bryan Hettenbach of the Missouri Circuit Court for St. Louis City denied the defense motion to stay in Dunn (No. 1422-CC10042-01); on the same day, Judge Hettenbach granted a plaintiff motion to transfer the matter to a separate division, assigning the matter to Judge Michael K. Mullen in Division 16 for pretrial matters only.
