Eight New Talcum Powder Complaints Filed in 4 States; Majority Filed in Louisiana

NEW ORLEANS –– Eight new talcum powder lawsuits have been filed directly into federal court in recent weeks, with five of the eight filed in Louisiana federal courts.

The other complaints were filed in Alabama, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota, according to court documents.

In their complaints, plaintiffs Carlyne Willis, Dolorae Handy, Pamela Woods, Lauren Matthews, Fay Resor, Peggy Vallot, Linda Blazio, and Olivia Prout said they developed ovarian cancer as a result of using the defendants’ products.

The Willis plaintiffs are represented by M. Shane Lucado and C. Don Freeman of Shelby Lucado in Birmingham, Ala.
