N.J. Appellate Court Overturns $18 Million Accutane Verdict, Orders New Trial

TRENTON, N.J. — A New Jersey appellate court has overturned an $18 million Accutane verdict issued in favor of two plaintiffs, ruling that the trial court erred in admitting as evidence a change to the drug’s warning label made in 2000 — after the plaintiffs had stopped taking the drug — finding it was prejudicial to the defendant drug makers.
