Calif. Supreme Court to Address Opposing Opinions in Take-Home Asbestos Exposure Cases This Fall

SAN FRANCISCO –– The California Supreme Court has rescheduled oral argument for this fall in two asbestos cases pending before the court involving take-home exposure claims, according to a recent docket entry.

The high court called and continued the case to the September 2016 calendar on June 2, but a notice of unavailability filed on June 24 indicated that counsel for defendant BNSF Railway Co. would not be available on Sept. 8 and 9.

The underlying disputes involve claims asserted on behalf of the nephew of a Pneumo Abex employee and the wife of a former BNSF Railway Co. employee.
