Missouri Jury Reaches Defense Verdict for Deere & Company in Benzene Case

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. –– A Missouri jury has reached a defense verdict in favor of Deere & Company, rejecting a man’s claims that he developed leukemia as a result of using the defendant’s benzene-containing cleaning product.

The Missouri Circuit Court for Jackson County jury reached the verdict on June 30, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing. Judge James F. Kanatzar presided over the trial.

In his sixth amended petition, plaintiff Wade Wiederhold alleged that he developed acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) as a result of exposure to benzene-containing products.
