N.Y. Jury Awards $6.25 Million at Conclusion of Asbestos Case Involving Boilers

NEW YORK –– A New York jury has awarded $6.25 million to plaintiffs at the conclusion of an asbestos trial, allocating nine percent liability to one of the remaining two boiler defendants.

The New York Supreme Court for New York County jury reached the verdict on June 10. The trial was presided over by Hon. Cynthia Kern, during which Burnham LLC and Crown Boiler Co. were the lone remaining defendants.

The jury’s award totaled $6,250,000 for pain and suffering, according to the verdict sheet.
