JPML Denies Motions to Vacate Transfer of 2 Okla. Cases to DePuy ASR Hip Implant MDL Docket

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has denied a motion to vacate the transfer of two Oklahoma lawsuits to the national coordinated docket for claims relating to DePuy Orthopaedics’ ASR Hip Implant, explaining that the MDL judge can rule on pending motions to remand and dismiss.

In the April 7 order, the JPML said it “routinely” transferred actions involving claims against the manufacturers of the hip implant and related claims against healthcare providers.
