WASHINGTON, D.C. — A federal appeals court has refused to overturn a district court’s order disqualifying an attorney from serving as a realtor in a qui tam suit against a government contractor, finding the attorney failed to raise any arguments warranting reversal.

On March 23, the 5th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals held that the attorney’s brief on appeal “fails to muster a cognizable argument to bolster his position, as it lacks any meaningful citation to legal authority, and contains only sparse reference to the record on appeal.”
