John Deere Asks Ariz. Federal Judge to Award it $28,680 in Attorneys’ Fees, Costs

PHOENIX — John Deere Insurance Co. has asked an Arizona federal judge to award it $28,680.20 in attorneys’ fees and costs incurred in its efforts to have a reinsurance arbitration award confirmed.

In a March 15 filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, John Deere argues that it had to hire outside counsel to become familiar with the facts of the arbitration, the motion to confirm, and Scottsdale Insurance Co.’s opposition and motion to modify or correct the award.
