MADISON, Wis. –– Plaintiffs in one of several cases filed against Weyerhaeuser Co. for alleged non-occupational asbestos exposure have reached a settlement agreement with the remaining defendants, just days before trial was scheduled to begin, according to recent court documents.

In a one-page order entered on March 11, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin explained that the action had been settled and the case was thereby dismissed.

The settlement came two days after the court issued an order detailing its rulings on pending in limine motions, noting that trial was scheduled to begin on March 14.
