Calif. Supreme Court Denies Chance to Hear Dispute Involving Asbestos Liability of Subcontractor




SAN FRANCISCO –– The California Supreme Court has denied a petition for review and depublication request filed by a subcontractor defendant, declining the chance to weigh in on an intermediate appellate court’s holding that the company’s purchase of defective products, combined with its ongoing relationship with the manufacturers of those products, was enough to support the imposition of strict liability.

The state high court denied the petition on March 9, according to the court’s online docket entry.
